The Bows & Bullets 4-H Club met at the Randy and Linda Richardson farm west of Dublin in Washington County on Sunday, Oct. 10. This was a fun outdoor meeting to kick off the 4-H new year.
Over 30 members, potential members, and guests met at the farm and rode a hay wagon over to the new pond dam, where they held their monthly meeting, played games, and elected club officers. Afterward, the club roasted hot dogs and bratwursts over an open fire.
William Dunbar gave a presentation on the Muzzleloader discipline, demonstrating how to properly load a Muzzleloader and discussing target shooting for competition. Dunbar brought his personal Muzzleloaders and targets for display.
William is a freshman at Highland High School, and has qualified for the 2022 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships in Grand Island, Nebraska. Following William’s presentation, his father, Paul Dunbar, gave a presentation about shooting sports competitions, which included postals, state, and national competition.
Paul Dunbar is a Small Bore Discipline Leader for the club. Club Leader Don Pfeiffer gave updates for the club and led officer elections. Organizational Leader Nicole Stoutner presented the club's waivers and forms as well as the apparel order.
Officer Elections yielded the following results:
President - Annie Morrison
Vice President - Darrin Richardson
Secretary - Charlie Stoutner
Treasurer - Zane Fisher
Club Activity Leader - Carsten Wilson
Club Historian - Annie Morrison
Club Photographer - Max Peterson
Club Reporter - Caroline Richardson
