Boys? tennis team tops WB/ND

The Mt. Pleasant boys? tennis team picked up another win on Tuesday, defeating Notre Dame-West Burlington at Dankward Memorial Park in Burlington, 6-3.
The Panthers went 4-2 in singles matches. Ben Zihlman took the No. 1 match 10-7. Ethan Weber won the No. 2 match 1-2. Corbin Broeker took the No. 5 match, 10-5, and Nick Sandeen won the No. 6 match 10-3.

The Mt. Pleasant boys? tennis team picked up another win on Tuesday, defeating Notre Dame-West Burlington at Dankward Memorial Park in Burlington, 6-3.
The Panthers went 4-2 in singles matches. Ben Zihlman took the No. 1 match 10-7. Ethan Weber won the No. 2 match 1-2. Corbin Broeker took the No. 5 match, 10-5, and Nick Sandeen won the No. 6 match 10-3.
Falling in singles matches were No. 3 Joey Holtkamp and No. 4 Elijah Plooster. Both fell 11-10 with Holtkamp dropping the tiebreaking set, 11-9, and Plooster falling in his tiebreaker, 7-2.
Zihlman and Weber won again in doubles, taking the No. 1 match 10-5. Broeker and Jaxon Hoyle won, 10-8, in the No. 3 match.
The lone loss for the Panther boys in doubles went to Holtkamp and Plooster, who fell 8-5.
Mt. Pleasant will be back on the courts on Friday, April 28, in Ft. Madison. That SEC showdown will begin at 4:30 p.m.
