Breeds to celebrate 50 years of matrimony
ANNIVERSARY
Apr. 27, 2021 3:53 pm
Fairfield residents Chett and Suanna Breed will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, May 1. Suanna, a well-known local artist and former professor of art, and Chett, a retired Truman University English professor, were married in Palo Alto, California in 1971.
After teaching careers that took them from California to Michigan and Missouri, the Breeds returned to Fairfield 10 years ago on their retirement to join the community of meditators. They enjoy painting, gardening and remodeling their home, which won a Fairfield Chamber of Commerce beautification award.
Their four children, daughter Molly and sons Gawain, Liam, and Ben, are all married as well, and credit their parents’ loving example to the success of their relationships.
Celebrating with Suanna and Chett will be their many friends, and their family who, though spread around the country, will join virtually.
