Bridges out of Poverty community training in November in Wayland
Bridges out of Poverty will present a program called ?Building Bridges? of Southeast Iowa on Saturday, Nov. 18. The event will take place at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in Wayland. Check in begins at 8:30 a.m., with training from 9 a.m. to noon.

Bridges out of Poverty will present a program called ?Building Bridges? of Southeast Iowa on Saturday, Nov. 18. The event will take place at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in Wayland. Check in begins at 8:30 a.m., with training from 9 a.m. to noon.
According to Bridges out of Poverty, 28 percent of children in Southeast Iowa live in poverty. There is a disconnect between economic classes, races and to some degree, between generations which contributes to the poverty epidemic.
This program believes that training can help individuals see poverty differently and take responsibility for creating change.
