The Brighton Area Ministerial Alliance joined forces, for the third consecutive year, with the Washington Area Ministerial Alliance, to participate in the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign throughout the recent holiday season.
Brighton's Dollar General Store and BP Gas Station provided the local collection depositories, making it possible to raise $167.44 to go toward local benevolence through area churches. Brighton Federation Bank managed the funds received.
Since its beginnings in San Francisco in 1891, the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign has become one of the most visible community holiday fundraisers nationwide, and the Brighton Area Ministerial Alliance appreciates all the business participants, and all the donors who generously contributed this holiday season.
'We will prayerfully distribute your gifts in the name of Our Savior around Whose birthday you gave,” said a news release from the group.
The alliance wanted to acknowledge the Brighton Dollar General Store and its patrons for donating and collecting DG toys, which were distributed among 10 area families for Christmas gifts to their children.
'Happy New Year everyone and God's finest upon you and yours throughout 2021 from the Brighton Area Ministerial Alliance!” said the news release.
