BRIGHTON - Monte Schooley, of Iowa City, visited his mother, Shirley Schooley, of Brighton, Dec. 24-25. Her brother, Phil and Ssandy Speidel, of Mt. Pleasant, joined them for Christmas Day.

Nelson and Jacklyn SMith, of Brighton, held a Christmas dinner at their home on Dec. 25. Those present included his mother, Caryl Smith, of Brighton. They were joined by six friends and relatives from Brighton, Fairfield, Iowa City and Burlington.

A soup supper and gift exchange was held at the home of Winifred Fritz in Brighton on Dec. 24. Those present were her children and their families. THey included Winifred's son JOe and Lori Fritz, of Brighton; with Michael of Ames; Julia of Cedar Falls; Sohpia of Brighton with a friend from Fairfield; her son Tony and Lynn Fritz, of Brighton; her daughter Jane and Virgil Symmonds, of Fairfield; their daughter Dawn and Josh Gultfelty with Brandan, Aspen and Tytus of Bellevue, Nebraska; their son Nolan and Kelli Symmonds with Camerson, Grayson and Avery of Kalona; Winifred's son Greg and Deb Fritz, of Fairfield; their daughter Trisha Copeland with Kellen and Madden, of Fairfield; Winifred's daughter Mary and Joel Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth and a friend, of Fairfield; JD and Becky Hollsingsworth with Noah, of Packwood; her daughter Lucy and Matt Dietzman with Brenden and Malcolm, of Keosaqua; Winifred's son Charles and Deb Fritz of Sigourney and their sons Andrew and France Morgan of Tifffin; Nathan of Pella with friend Susue of West Des Moines and Jess of Pella; Winifred's daughter Rita and Tim Berry of Bates City, Mo.; their son Isaac and Hollie of Springfield, Mo,; and MEgan of Independence Mo and a freiend of Odessa, Mo.

Tony and Lynn Fritz celebrated Christmas Day at their home in Brighton. His mother, Winifred Fritz, of Brighton, joined approximately 15 relatives from Lynn's family. The guests arrived from Strawberry Point, Oskaloosa and Cedar Rapids.

Kathy Babberl with friend Wayne of Cariton visited her sister, Pat Remington, of Brighton, on Dec. 24. They enjoyed visiting and the sisters played a board game.

Pat Remington, of Brighton, enjoyed the company of her daughter and children on Dec. 21. Angela Garmoe, with James and Christopher of Mt. Pleasant and Cody and Mackenzie of Oskaloosa joined Pat for the moon meal. They spent the afternoon and evening playing cards.

Rita Berry of Bates City, Mo., arrived Dec. 19. at the home of her mother, Winifred Fritz, of Brighton. Rita's son Isaac and Hallie Berry of Springfield, Mo., arrived early Dec. 21. Rita's husband Tim arrived on Dec. 22. Their daughter Megan of Independence, Mo., with friend Brenden, of Odessa, Mo., arrived on Dec. 24.

Rita (Millane) Hammes who passed away Dec. 23 was a cousin to Winifred Fitz, of Brighton. Rita lived in Fairfield.
