Providing the evening meal of Feb. 19 at the home of Winifred Fritz were her children, Tony and Lynn Fritz of Brighton, and Mary and Joel Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield.
Pat Remington met her sister Kathy of Chariton, with friend Wayne, in Oskaloosa Feb. 20. They enjoyed dining and shopping that afternoon.
Rosemary and Gerald Pacha were in Wichita, Kansas, last week visiting their son, Jeff Pacha and family. On Saturday they attended a college wrestling tournament in Salina, Kansas. Their grandson, Jay, took first place. He wrestles for Ottawa University in Kansas.
Jean Frazer of Iowa City was in Brighton visiting, Thursday. She joined the Pachas for breakfast at Sweet Blessings Café and then spent the day sewing with Rosemary.
Jennifer Phillips and daughter, Aurora, of Johnston, and Rosemary Pacha had a girls? day out. They took in the musical ?Sound of Music? at the Civic Center in Des Moines on Saturday, Feb. 11.
Lucy Dietzman with Malcolm and Brendan of Keosauqua visited her mother, Winifred Fritz, on Feb. 18. They spent the morning trimming trees and tilling the garden. They enjoyed the afternoon dining at Pizza Ranch and shopping in Washington.
Winifred received word on Feb. 19 that her cousin Francine Smith of Oskaloosa, formerly of Sigourney, passed away. On Feb. 22, Winifred with sons Tony and Joe attended the visitation in Oskaloosa.
The Brighton Ministerial Association (BMA) will host a Celebrate Recovery town hall gathering in response to the growing need for recovery support. This will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, March 17, and Saturday March 18, at the Brighton Community Center. Guest speaker will be Nancy Parli-Vallar, Celebrate Recovery Iowa state representative.
The Krony Krew Club met Feb. 22 at the home of Kathryn Dickinson. Bridge was played at one table. The group enjoyed dining at CaMander?s in Brighton. Their next meeting will be held March 8 at the home of Shirley Schooley.
Chapter AQ, P.E.O., met Feb. 21 at the home of Ginny Brinton. Ten members were present. President Joyce Wilson read the letter the chapter plans to submit to state. Their next meeting will be held March 7 at the home of Shirley Schooley.
Ivy Leanne Michelle Pearcy was born Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at 4:23 p.m. She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and was 19 inches in length. Her parents are Jennifer Sargeant and Andrew Pearcy of Brighton.
She has two sisters and a brother, Aaliyah and Aubree Sargeant of Brighton, and Braiden Bowmart of Illinois.
