Gerald Pacha of Brighton attended the Chapter 5 International meeting on Nov. 15. Approximately 130 members and their wives toured Kinze Manufacturing in Williamsburg. After viewing a movie about the life and machine inventions by Mr. Kinze, they enjoyed lunch.
Plans are in process for the 2017 International Tractor Show. It will be held at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines.

Gerald Pacha of Brighton attended the Chapter 5 International meeting on Nov. 15. Approximately 130 members and their wives toured Kinze Manufacturing in Williamsburg. After viewing a movie about the life and machine inventions by Mr. Kinze, they enjoyed lunch.

Jason Roberts left for Las Vegas on Nov. 9. He visited his aunt and cousin. He visited Dolan Springs, Ariz., and Death Valley National Park in California. While in California, he also visited Scotty?s Castle Museum, a Spanish revival in a desert oasis named for its owner, a historical con man. Jason returned home on Nov. 13.
Enjoying the evening meal of Nov. 16 at the home of Winifred Fritz were her children and grandchildren. Those present included Joel and Mary Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield, and J.D. Hollingsworth of Packwood with fiancée Becky of Fairfield, and Virgil and Jane Symmonds of Fairfield.
Pat Remington of Brighton with son Travis of Ainsworth went to Oskaloosa on Nov. 14. They met Pat?s daughter, Brandy Poli, of Waukee. They enjoyed dining at Tasos in Oskaloosa.
St. James Church in Washington confirmed a class of 22 on Nov. 16. This class included Michael Fritz, son of Joe and Lori of Brighton. Attending the service was his grandmother, Winifred Fritz of Brighton. To celebrate the occasion, they enjoyed brunch at the Four Corners in Lockridge.
Caryl Smith held a going-away dinner party for Terry and Marg Horras of rural Brighton. Terry and Marg were to leave for Des Moines on Nov. 20. The dinner party was held on Nov. 18 at Caryl?s home. Those present included Carol Mottet, Mary Ann and Leonard Drish, and Gerald and Rosemary Pacha, all mutual friends, of Brighton.
On Nov. 17, the Wayland Antique Tractor Club held its annual fall soup supper for area tractor club members. Those attending from the Brighton area were Gerald Pacha, Merle Farrier, Maurice Pacha, Ed Pacha and Kevin Clark. Entertainment was a bluegrass group from Sharon Center. It was held at the Sugar Creek Church in Wayland.
