The Prairie Painters hosted the Iowa State Show for the World Show of China Painters. It was held May 15, 16 and 17 at Holiday Inn in Des Moines. Donna Guy and daughter Deb Greiner attended the show. Donna had a booth.
Donna Guy held a seminar at the studio in her home on May 19, 20 and 21. Eight members attended this seminar on painting landscapes and scenery. Gerry Burchill of Des Moines was an instructor.

The Prairie Painters hosted the Iowa State Show for the World Show of China Painters. It was held May 15, 16 and 17 at Holiday Inn in Des Moines. Donna Guy and daughter Deb Greiner attended the show. Donna had a booth.
Donna Guy held a seminar at the studio in her home on May 19, 20 and 21. Eight members attended this seminar on painting landscapes and scenery. Gerry Burchill of Des Moines was an instructor.
Chapter AQ, P.E.O., met on May 20 at the home of Joyce Wilson in Washington.
Thirteen members were present. The program was the Ritual of Initiation. They will meet again on June 3 at the home of Cathy Rich.
Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield was honored at a surprise birthday party and evening meal on May 17. It was held at the home of her mother, Mary Stecker, in Fairfield. Also present were Mary?s fiancé, Joel; Bridget?s brother, J.D. Hollingsworth of Packwood with fiancée Becky of Fairfield; and their grandmother, Winifred Fritz of Brighton.
Other guests were aunts and uncles: Tony Fritz of Brighton with friend Lynn of North Liberty, Greg and Deb Fritz of Fairfield, Charles and Debie Fritz with sons and friends of Sigourney, Lucy and Matt Dietzman and sons of Keosauqua, and Jane and Virgil Symmonds of Fairfield. Cousins present included Tricia and Justin Copeland with Kellen of Fairfield (Greg and Deb?s daughter), and Nolan and Kelli Symmonds of Kalona.
Abigail Sieren of Keota graduated from Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa on May 15. She received her diploma in dental assisting. Those present for the occasion were her parents, Ryan and Roberta Sieren with Wyatt of Keota, and grandparents Bob and Carrol Shelangoski of Brighton.
Sister Janet Kreber of Sioux City visited Winifred Fritz, May16-19. On Sunday they attended Mass at St. Joseph Church, and after breakfast they went to Washington. They visited Claire Shelangoski, Walter Pacha, Duane Mottet, and Larry Barnes, and met Helen Hesseltine. Janet also visited friends and shut-ins in Fairfield and Richland on Saturday and on the return trip home.
On May 16, Winifred Fritz was visited by her son Greg Fritz of Fairfield and his daughter Sarah and Craig Sides with Brantley and Holden of Olathe, Kan.
