Winifred Fritz held a Mother?s Day celebration at her home. Those present included her children, Lucy Dietzman with Branden of Keosauqua, Charles Fritz with Jess of Sigourney, Virgil and Jane Symmonds of Fairfield and Greg and Deb Fritz of Fairfield. Also present were grandchildren Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield and J.D. Hollingsworth of Packwood. They enjoyed dinner prepared by the family and the chicken that Charles bought. They were joined for the evening meal by son Tony Fritz of Brighton with friend Lynn of North Liberty, and grandson Nolan and Kelly Symmonds of Kalona. Winifred received phone calls from daughter Rita Berry of Bates City, Mo., and grandson Isaac Berry of Springfield, Mo.
Approximately 40 people attended the Free County supervisor candidates forum. It was held May 13 at the Brighton Community Center.
Chapter AQ, P.E.O., met for a social meeting on May 10. Thirteen members and one guest enjoyed a brunch held at the home of Rosemary Pacha in Brighton. Rosemary gave the program, ?Turning of Quilts.? She explained how she had made her quilts and the stories behind them. She also told about the products made at Loudan?s in Fairfield. The chapter?s next meeting will be on May 20 at the home of Joyce Wilson in Washington.
The Krony Krew Club met at the home of Dorothy Miller on May 14. Bridge was played at two tables. Their next meeting will be held on May 28 at the home of Liz Gegner.
