Greg Fritz of Fairfield visited his mother Winifred Fritz of Brighton on Sept. 24. Mary and Joel Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield provided the evening meal of Sept. 27 at the home of Winifred Fritz, Mary's mother. They were joined by Winifred's son Tony and Lynn Fritz of Brighton. They celebrated the Sept. 29 birthday of Mary, and Lynn's Sept. 26 birthday.

Rita Berry with Megan of Missouri arrived at her mother's home, Winifred Fritz, on Oct. 1.

Pat Remington of Brighton with friend Nita of Rubio went to Oskaloosa on Oct. 1. They met Pat's sister, Kathy with friend Wayne of Chariton at Paso's Pizza and steakhouse.

Pat met her sister Kathy and friend Wayne of Chariton on Oct. 2. They met at the Frontier in Washington for the noon meal.

Jason Roberts of Brighton met two former co-workers of Udell on Oct. 2. They dined at Culver's in Ottumwa for the evening meal.

On Oct. 1, Rita Berry of Bates City, Missouri, with Megan of Odessa, Missouri, arrived at the home of her mother, Winifred Fritz. They returned home on Oct. 5.

Winifred's grandson Andrew Fritz with fiance Morgan of Coralville visited Winifred on the morning of Oct. 3. Andrew is Charles and Debie's son.

Tim Berry, Rita's husband, arrived the afternoon of Oct. 3. He'd been visiting his parents in Galt, Missouri. He returned to Galt on the morning of Oct. 4 so he could do some hunting.

The evening of Oct. 3, 34 relatives gathered at Winifred's. They'd planned a wiener roast, and hay ride for her 90th birthday. It was raining, so they played cards. When the rain quit, they substituted lawn chairs for the hay. They still enjoyed the ride.

All of Winifred's eight children and spouses were present except Greg's wife, Deb.

* Jane and Virgil Symmonds of Fairfield. Their daughters Dawn Goltfelty with Aspen and Titus of Bellevue, Nebraska, and Rachael Germany with Coraline and Oliver of Nevada, Iowa;

* Greg Fritz and daughter Trisha Copeland with Kellan and Madden of Fairfield;

Joe and Lori Fritz with Sophia of Brighton and Julia of Cedar Falls;

* Tony and Lynn Fritz of Brighton with her daughter Elisha of Swisher;

Rita and Tim Berry with Megan of Missouri;

Mary and Joel Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield and J.D. and Becky Hollingsworth with Noah of Packwood;

* Lucy and Matt Dietzman with Brendan and Malcolumn of Keosauqua;

* Charles and Debie Fritz of Sigourney.

A birthday supper was held Oct. 4 at the home of Winifred Fritz, in many Brighton residents.

Joe and Lori Fritz with Julia, Mary and Joel Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth, Rita Berry with Megan, and Tony and Lynn Fritz enjoyed the meal complete with cake and home made ice cream.

As of Wednesday, Winifred had received 99 birthday cards. She also received several phone calls which included calls from cousins in Fort Madison and Remwick. Her brother, Herb Moeller of Weaver and grandsons Isaadc Berry of Missouri and Michael of Ames also comes to mind.
