Chapter AQ, P.E.O. met on Oct. 21 at the home of Louise Frakes. Dorothy Miller was co-host. Joyce Dunbar and Louise gave the program on popular music from 1846-1930.
Their next meeting will be at the home of Kathryn Pacha on Nov. 4, with Rosemary Pacha as co-host.
Brighton Trick or Treat night will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 31.

J.D. Hollingsworth of Packwood visited his grandmother, Winifred Fritz, on Oct. 19. The evening meal was provided by Winifred?s children, Mary and Joel Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield, and Tony Fritz of Brighton with friend Lynn of North Liberty.
The Krony Krew Club met on Oct. 22 at the home of Phyllis Scheeler. Bridge was played at two tables. Prizes were awarded to Liz Gegner, Louise Frakes and Phyllis Scheeler. Their next meeting is pending.
Brighton Lions annual soup supper will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Halloween, Oct. 31, at the Brighton Community Building. Cost is a free-will offering. Soups on the menu will be Frankenstein chili, gargoyle (cheesy potato), and goblin goop (oyster stew). Get a bowl to go. Coffee, milk, lemonade and munchies will also be available.
