Shirley Schooley of Brighton with son Monte of Iowa City attended the wedding of her great-nephew Daniel Speidel and Sarah Drake, both of Marion, on April 16. Shirley Schooley of Brighton with son Monte of Iowa City attended the wedding of her great-nephew Daniel Speidel and Sarah Drake, both of Marion, on April 16. The wedding was held on the rooftop of the new Cedar Rapids Public Library. A reception followed the ceremony, at the Shores Event Center in Cedar Rapids.
Brighton?s Chapter AQ, P.E.O., met April 19 at the home of Kathryn Pacha. Sarah Robison was her co-hostess. Seventeen members were present. Sarah gave the program on monarch butterflies. Refreshments were served by the co-hostess. The chapter?s next meeting will be on May 3 at the home of Marcella Loeffler, with Jan Eddy as her co-hostess.
Mary and Joel Boatright of Fairfield, and Lucy Dietzman with Brenden and Malcolm of Keosauqua, visited their mother, Winifred Fritz, on April 17. They were joined for the evening meal by their brother, Tony and Lynn Fritz of Brighton.
Winifred Fritz received a telephone call from her granddaughter Megan Berry of Missouri on April 16.
Caryl Smith and son Nelson were visited by four of his friends from Janesville, Wisconsin. They arrived on April 15 and returned home on April 18. They had come to help Nelson on his house.
