The Altar-Rosary Committee of St. Joseph Church met Dec. 13 at the church in East Pleasant Plain. Eight members were present. They made out the 2017 monthly calendar to list providers of the Sunday refreshments. They also decided to have the Christmas Brunch after Mass, Jan. 8.
Cory Smith of Minnesota and four deer hunters from Wisconsin were the guests of his grandmother, Caryl Smith, the week of Dec. 12.

Mary Boatright with daughter Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield visited her mother, Winifred Fritz, on Dec. 10.
Providing the evening meal of Dec. 11 at the home of Winifred Fritz were her son Tony and Lynn of Brighton, and grandchildren Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield and J.D. and Becky Hollingsworth of Packwood.
Rob and Cathy Farley were visited by his father, of Utah, Dec. 7-10.
Pat Remington met her sister Kathy of Chariton, with friend, in Ottumwa on Dec. 10. They enjoyed shopping and dining.
Winifred Fritz enjoyed the noon meal of Dec. 13 at the home of her son Tony and Lynn Fritz.
Winifred Fritz received a telephone call on Dec. 13 from her daughter Rita and Tim Berry of Bates City, Missouri. They were going to Branson to meet their son Isaac and friend of Springfield, Missouri.
