John Collins of Colorado was an overnight guest of his aunt, Caryl Smith, on July 3, He had been in Burlington for the funeral for a friend.
Pat Remington met her sister Kathy of Chariton in Ottumwa on June 30. They enjoyed dining and shopping.
On July 2, Cody and fiancée McKenzie of Oskaloosa visited his grandmother, Pat Remington.
Sister Janet Kreber of Sioux City was a guest of Winifred Fritz from July 2-5. Sister Janet had been in Dubuque the week before. On July 3 they attended Mass, stayed for coffee and rolls and visited with many members of the parish. Sister Janet also visited the homes and nursing homes of friends that afternoon. Winifred and Sister Janet were joined that afternoon by Winifred?s children, Mary and Joel Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield, and Tony and Lynn Fritz. Tony had made ice cream, which they all enjoyed.
Winifred enjoyed a cookout on July 4. It was held at the home of her son Charles and Debi Fritz of Sigourney. They were joined by friends, and by Winifred?s children except Rita and Tim Berry, Lucy and Matt Dietzman, and Tony and Lynn Fritz. Sister Janet spent the Fourth visiting friends in the communities.
