Nolan Symmonds of Kalona celebrated his birthday at Pizza Ranch in Washington on Oct. 26. Those present included his wife, Kelli, with Cameron, who turned 2 on Oct. 25. They were joined by his parents and grandmother, Virgil and Jane Symmonds of Fairfield with Winifred Fritz of Brighton.
Virgil and Jane Symmonds hosted a 2nd-birthdy party for their grandson Oliver Germany on Oct. 29 at their home. Those present included Oliver?s parents, Nathan and Rachael with Coraline of Nevada, Iowa, his Uncle Nolan and Aunt Kelli Symmonds, and his great-grandmother, Winifred Fritz.
Providing the evening meal of Oct. 30 at Winifred?s home were her children, Joel and Mary Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield, and Tony and Lynn Fritz of Brighton.
Joe Fritz visited his mother, Winifred, on Oct. 31.
Tony and Angela Garmoe with James and Christopher of Mount Pleasant met her mother, Pat Remington, in Olds on Oct. 28. They went to Iowa City to shop and dine.
Chapter AQ, P.E.O., met Nov. 1 at the home of Shirley Schooley. Her co-hostess was Carolyn Christner. Ten members were present. President Joyce Wilson presided over the meeting. Phyllis Scheeler led the devotions. Shirley gave the program ?Things Not to Do After Turning 50.? Their next meeting will be held Nov. 15 at the home of Lynn Wright in rural Brighton.
