They were joined later by Winifred?s son Joe Fritz with Julia of Brighton.
Jane Crawford went to Centerville Saturday, May 13, to visit son Matt Crawford and Samantha at the five-bedroom home Matt bought there for his family. Daughter Bethany Crawford, who bought a three-bedroom home in Des Moines, drove to Centerville, also, to get car repairs done by her brother, and to see the children, Jane and Larry?s two grandsons Eric and Zaidyn and granddaughter Tammy. All had an early celebration of Eric?s and Tammy?s birthdays, gifts were opened, and ice cream and cake followed a delicious barbecued chicken dinner. Eric will be 15, and Tammy will be 6, on June 3. Jane took a large wrapped gift to store in one of Matt?s two garages until Zaidyn?s birthday ? he will be 2 on Aug. 18. Jane?s apartment was too small to store it until then.
On May 15, Mother?s Day, Jane Crawford received a nice email complete with photos from Matt, and a pleasant telephone call from Bethany, both wishing their mother Happy Mother?s Day. Tuesday, May 16, Jane went to the care conference for Larry Crawford at the McCreedy Home in Washington. The two then sat outside for a while in the nice weather. Larry is in Hospice care there, and both Hospice and nursing home staff were at the conference.
Jane Crawford?s beloved friend Becky Bulger died May 10, and Jane planned to attend the celebration of life on May 21 at Riverside.
Ginny Brinton left May 10 to visit her brother, Fritz and Nancy Gowey in Milan, Illinois. She returned home on May 16.
Chapter AQ, P.E.O., met May 16 at the home of Marcella Loeffler in Brighton. Twelve members were present. President Joyce Wilson conducted the meeting. Their annual initiation procedure was held.
