On Jan. 31, Winifred Fritz was visited by her children, Mary and Joel Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth, and Greg and Deb Fritz with their grandson Kellen Copeland, all of Fairfield.

A surprise coffee was held for Shirley Schooley to celebrate her 80th birthday. Twelve friends and neighbors gathered at Rosemary Pacha?s home on Jan. 27.
The Brighton Chamber met for its monthly meeting on the third Thursday of January. Whoopee Days plans were discussed.
Plans were also made for a fundraiser, ?Soup-er Sunday,? to be held on Sunday, Feb. 28, at the St. Joseph Church. Soup, relish tray and desserts will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., after church services.
