Ginny Brinton visited her brother, Fritz and Nancy Gowey and family in Milan, Illinois. She left on Dec. 21 and returned home the weekend after Christmas.
Lucy Dietzman with Malcolm and Brendan of Keosauqua visited her mother, Winifred Fritz, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 2. That evening, Winifred attended the Washington church service with her son Tony and Lynn of Brighton. Her son Joe and Lori of Brighton brought her home.
Pat Remington with friend Jason Roberts of Brighton celebrated New Year?s Eve in Missouri with his aunt and uncle.
Winifred Fritz held a Christmas-New Year celebration at her home on Jan. 3. Those attending included her brother Herb and Sandy Moeller of Wever, their sister Kathleen and Francis Spiesz of Farmington, and the Spieszes? son Mike and Allison with Erin of Mount Pleasant. Also present were Winifred?s children, Mary and Joel Boatright of Fairfield and Tony and Lynn Fritz of Brighton. They were joined later that afternoon by Mary?s daughter, Bridget Hollingsworth.
Jeff Glaspie was the guest of honor at his 50th birthday surprise party. It was held on Jan. 2 at the home of his boss, Jess Pilcher of Fairfield. The party was hosted and planned by Jeff?s wife, Danielle. Their children provided the food. Approximately 25 friends and relatives attended to help him celebrate.
