Charles and Debi Fritz with Andrew of Sigourney, Mary and Joel Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth of Fairfield, and Tony and Lynn Fritz met at the home of their mother, Winifred Fritz, on June 5. They enjoyed a cookout for the evening meal. Andrew leaves for college on Friday, June 10. Rita Berry called Winifred, her mother, from Seattle, Washington. Rita and Tim are there for Tim?s work and will stay for a week.
On June 4, Pat Remington, of Brighton, accompanied her daughter Angela Garmoe with Jimmy and Christopher of Mount Pleasant, and Cody and fiancée McKenzie of Oskaloosa, to Waukee. They met other family members for their annual holiday party. Others present included: Pat?s children, Travis with friend Jamie of Tennessee, and Brandy and Chris Poli of Waukee; Pat?s sisters, Kathy of Chariton, Pam and Bill Mogensen of Tennessee, and Kim of Clive; brothers-in-law, Steve Nation with Stephanie and children, Abbey and children, Jonathan and friend Art Churchill with Megan and children, and Heather and children, all of Des Moines; sister-in-law Jenny Babberl with Brad and Selena of Ottumwa, and Shawn and Sarah of Marshalltown; and cousins, Bob Bailey of Osceola and Cheryl German of Grand River. They were joined by friends Lisa Clanin and Janet Carroll, formerly of Russell. Activities enjoyed were the gunnysack races, foot races, golf card bingo and piñata.
On June 5, Pat Remington, Angela Garmoe, Jimmy, Christopher, Cody and McKenzie attended a high school graduation celebration for Pat?s nephew, Jonathan Nation. It was held at his home in Des Moines. Special guests included his father, Steve; sisters, nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles. Other guests included teammates, Scout members and other friends.
Brighton?s Chapter AQ, P.E.O., met June 7 at the home of Jan Eddy. Marcella Loeffler was her co-hostess. Eleven members were present. Rose Jaynes presented the program on the state convention, which was held in Des Moines.
Their next meeting will be held June 21 at the home of Rosemary Pacha. Her co-hostess will be Ruth Stacy.
The Krony Krew Bridge Club met June 8 at the home of Shirley Schooley. Their next meeting will be June 22 at Kathryn Dickinson?s home.
