Chapter AQ of P.E.O. met at the home of Shirley Schooley on April 21. Twenty members answered roll call. A new member was installed into the chapter. Chapter AQ of P.E.O. met at the home of Shirley Schooley on April 21. Twenty members answered roll call. A new member was installed into the chapter. Word was received that the chapter?s PCE applicant had received a grant, and the star candidate received a scholarship. Following the business meeting, refreshments were served, with Ginny Brinton and Sarah Robison assisting. The next meeting will be on May 5 at the McCreedy Home in Washington.
On April 21, Winifred Fritz received a telephone call from Sister Janet Krabar of Sioux City, formerly of Richland.
Mary and Joel Boatright of Fairfield provided the evening meal of April 19 at the home of her mother, Winifred Fritz.
Travis Remington of Tennessee returned home on April 19. He had been in Iowa since April 1, visiting friends and relatives.
The Krony Krew Club met April 22 at the home of Louise Frakes. Elaine Watson was a guest. Bridge was played at two tables. Their next meeting will be on May 13.
Easter dinner guests at Gerald and Rosemary Pacha?s home were their daughter, Jennifer and Brian Phillips with Ames and Aurora of Johnston; her sister, Chris and Scott Turnipseed of Moline, Ill.; and friends Jean Frazer of Iowa City, and Katie McClurg of Washington.
Rosemary Pacha of Brighton and Sue Applegate of Washington attended ?The Taste of Home Cooking.? It was held at the Riverside Casino on April 14.
