Ten members of the Brighton United Church attended the mother-daughter salad supper. It was held May 7 at the Hope Lutheran Church in Germanville. The program was given by the State Fair queen, of Mount Pleasant.
Fern Hoefer, formerly of Brighton, celebrated her 104th birthday on May 4. An open house was held for her at Pleasant Manor in Mount Pleasant. Those attending the open house from Brighton included former neighbor and club members, Winifred Fritz and Arlene Fritz.
Enjoying the evening meal of May 5 at the home of Winifred Fritz were her children, Tony Fritz of Brighton with friend Lynn of North Liberty; Virgil and Jane Symmonds, Mary Stecker with fiancé Joel, and Mary?s daughter Bridget Hollingsworth, all of Fairfield.
