Joanna (Pacha) Peterson of Newton, Iowa, passed away after battling cancer. Her funeral services were Tuesday, June 30 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton.
Rosemary Pacha of Brighton, a sister-in-law, and Maurice and Katherine Pacha and Merle Pacha, Joanna's brothers from Washington, Iowa, met the family and attended the services.
Megan Berry of Odessa, Missouri, arrived at the home of her grandmother, Winifred Fritz of Brighton on June 26. She left to return home at noon on June 29.
Pauly Family Reunion
The annual Pauly Family Reunion was held June 28. It was held at the home of Winifred Fritz in Brighton. The attendance was small because of the virus.
Those attending included Winifred's children: Tony Fritz, Joe and Lori Fritz with Sophia and Julia, all of Brighton; Greg Fritz, Mary and Joel Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth, all of Fairfield; and Lucy Dietzman of Keosauqua.
They were joined by Winifred's granddaughter Megan Berry, Winifred's brother, Herb Moeller of Weaver, and their cousin Ruth and Glen Taylor of Fort Madison.
Tony had left to make ice cream and he returned with his life, Lynn. Mary's son J.D. and Becky Hollingsworth with Noah of Packwood also joined them later in the afternoon. Winifred received phone calls from cousins in Remwick, Iowa, and St. Louis, and brother-in-law Francis Spiesz of Farmington.
