Rosemary Pacha, of Brighton, and friend Jean Frazer, of Washington, went to Des Moines on Oct. 26. They met Rosemary's daughter Jennifer Phillips with Ames and Aurora, of Johnston. They celebrated Ames sixth birthday and Jennifer's birthday.

Rosemary Pacha and Shirley Schooley, both of Brighton, attended the Veterans' Memorial service on the afternoon of Oc.t 27. It was held at the Veterans armory in Iowa City.

The service was in memory of any veteran who had passed away this past year. Rosemary was presented a rose in honor of her husband, Gerald.

Joel and Mary Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth, of Fairfield, enjoyed the evening meal of Oct. 27, at the home of her mother, Winifred Fritz, of Brighton.
