A surprise birthday dinner party was held for Tony Fritz on Aug. 31. Forty-two friends and relatives gathered at the home of Winifred Fritz. The guests arrived from North Liberty, Kalona, Fairfield, Nevada, Sigourney, Brighton, Iowa City, Missouri and Nebraska.

A surprise birthday dinner party was held for Tony Fritz on Aug. 31. Forty-two friends and relatives gathered at the home of Winifred Fritz. The guests arrived from North Liberty, Kalona, Fairfield, Nevada, Sigourney, Brighton, Iowa City, Missouri and Nebraska.
Brighton Chapter AQ, P.E.O., met on Sept. 2 for a dining-out meeting. Nineteen members met at Loriann?s in Richland. Their next meeting will be held Sept. 16 at the home of Karen Schafer.
Ginny Brinton attended a memorial service for her sister-in-law, Wanda Brinton, who died a year ago. It was held Aug. 29 at the First Methodist Church in Iowa City.
Tim and Rita Berry with Megan of Bates City, Mo., visited her mother, Winifred Fritz. They arrived on Aug. 30 and returned home on Sept. 1. Rita?s brothers, Joe Fritz with Julia and Sophia, and Tony Fritz of Brighton with friend Lynn of North Liberty, came to Winifred?s home to tell her goodbye on the morning of Sept. 1.
