The Krony Krew Club met Feb. 11 at the home of Phyllis Scheeler. Bridge was played at one table. The next meeting will be held Feb. 25 at the home of Ginny Brinton.
Ed Drzycimski, Dan Mottet, and Gerald Pacha attended the Wayland Antique Tractor Club meeting Monday evening. A tractor-pulling video was part of the program. The tractor club meets the second Monday of each month. If anyone is interested in attending, just call one of these men.
The St. Joseph/Cabrini Altar and Rosary met Tuesday afternoon for their monthly meeting. Plans were made for the annual Soup Supper to be held at Cabrini Hall in Richland from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, March 1. Chili, chicken noodle, and vegetable soups will be served along with a variety of pies. There will be a country store. A freewill offering will be taken up. Ash Wednesday services, Feb. 18, will be held at 6 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Lenten services will continue each Wednesday evening during the Lenten season with soup and fellowship following the Stations of the Cross.
Gerald and Rosemary Pacha just returned from a three-week vacation in Mission, Texas, with his brothers and sisters, Maurice and Kathryn Pacha of Washington, Don and Edna Sieren of Keota, and Mel and Geri Scheller of Emporia, Kan. Gerald and his twin sister, Geri, celebrated their birthday Jan. 18 while there. They visited Brownsville, Texas, and South Padre Island. One morning they met Larry and Sarah Robison, and Jim and Dorothy Miller at their RV park. They attended several jam sessions and dances and played lots of cards and pool. Rosemary even got to see a quilt show in Mission.
The next meeting of the Brighton Chamber is at 5 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 19, in the Brighton Federation meeting room. Plans are under way for the 105th annual Whoopee Days, which is the third weekend of June, June 18-21. Everyone is invited to attend and help with the planning. The board is always looking for suggestions.
