?Bug Mania? day camp held
The Washington County Extension Office held a ?Bug Mania? Day Camp for 55 kindergarteners and first-graders with the help of 15 County Council members throughout the week. Camps were held on Tuesday, June 17, 18, 19, at Riverside, Marr Park and Wellman.

The Washington County Extension Office held a ?Bug Mania? Day Camp for 55 kindergarteners and first-graders with the help of 15 County Council members throughout the week. Camps were held on Tuesday, June 17, 18, 19, at Riverside, Marr Park and Wellman.
The campers learned about different kinds of insects and their three major parts ? the head, abdomen, and thorax. Campers went on an insect scavenger hunt, created butterflies, and even created bugs out of food for snacks. Youth also learned about the development stages of some special insects like butterflies.
