Build a robot this summer
Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is bringing STEM Academy ?RoboTech? to the youth of Southeast Iowa this June. Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is bringing STEM Academy ?RoboTech? to the youth of Southeast Iowa this June. Youth who have completed sixth, seventh or eighth grade are welcome to register for this hands-on opportunity to build robots and learn about science, technology, math and engineering (STEM).
There are two sessions to choose from, June 10-13 at the Louisa County Fairgrounds or June 17-20 at the Henry County Extension Office from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
?We are excited to provide this learning opportunity for our youth that supports Governor Branstad?s STEM initiative and to get young people in Southeast Iowa energized about science, technology, engineering, and math,? said Kati Peiffer, ISU Extension and Outreach Youth Development Program Specialist.
Pre-registration is required by May 31.
There is a cost for the program. Registration packets are available at the Henry County Extension Office, at 319-385-8126 or www/extension.iastate.edu/henry. Space is limited.
