Calendar of December events in Van Buren

Villages of Van Buren County has announced a number of activities for December.

Dec. 4th ~ Holidays at Hotel Manning – Keosauqua

Join First Iowa State Bank and the Villages Folk School for a holiday event at Hotel Manning. Tasty treats and children's art kits will be available for pick up. 5:30-6:30 p.m. 100 Van Buren St., Keosauqua.

Dec. 5th-6th ~ Pioneer Home Driving Tour

Visit the Pioneer Museum for a map of historical homes and hear Ukulele players playing Christmas music. Prize drawing on Dec. 13th. 205 S. 4th St., Farmington (next to Casey's).

Dec. 5th ~ Light Up the Park

Come and see the park light up at 7 p.m. Enjoy hot cocoa, chili and cornbread to celebrate the kick-off of the holiday season. 5:30-7 p.m. Indian Lake Park, 28163 Willow Ave., Farmington.

Dec. 5th ~ Santa Visits Milton

Come and tell Santa all your Christmas wishes. He will be stopping by at 6:30-7 p.m. Milton Legion Hall, 324 N Main St., Milton.

Dec. 12th ~ Villages Holiday Artisan Studio Tour

It's the most wonderful time of the year and Van Buren County Artists will have their studios open for this spectacular one-day event. Some will offer demonstrations, some offer enrollment for 2021 art classes, but all will have unique handmade items to give as a special one-of-a-kind gift.

Dec. 12th ~ Bentonsport Country Christmas - Bentonsport

Check out all the decorations and shop keepers dressed in period clothing, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Meet Santa and Jingles from 1-3 p.m. in the Shelter House. Hot chocolate, cider and cookies will be served. In case of inclement weather, it will be in The Stone House, 26985 Route J40. Dec. 16th ~ Farmington Christmas Lighting Contest

Drive through Farmington, as the residences get ready for cash prizes for the top three places.

Dec. 31st ~ New Year's Eve Sing

Good Gospel music and family fellowship. Soups, drinks, table service provided and door prizes. No carry-in dishes, food will be provided. No admission fee and physical distancing recommended. 5pm at the Roberts Memorial Bldg., Hwy. 1 N., Keosauqua, IA
