Cancer survivor calendars on sale

The 2012 Relay for Life of Jefferson County may be several months away, but members of the relay?s committee are already actively raising funds.

To help find a cure for cancer, 2012 cancer survivor calendars are being sold at $15 apiece, with all proceeds going to the Relay for Life of Jefferson County.

The calendar includes stories and photos honoring local cancer survivors and pays tribute to some who have lost their battle with cancer. Each month?s page features a new photo and story of faith, hope, courage and strength.

Orders must be prepaid by Oct. 1. Payments via PayPal are available for an additional $1 per calendar. Checks should be made out to the American Cancer Society.

Pick-up will be from 3-7 p.m. Nov. 22 in the First National Bank basement community room; individual arrangements also may be made. Calendars may be shipped as priority mail for an additional $4.95 or first class mail for $2.50.
