Car show results announced

Collector Cars Unlimited had its 28th annual car show Sept. 18 on the Fairfield square, with about 54 vehicle owners braving the chilly temperature and rain to show off their cars.

John and Wendy Ikerd of Elvaston, Ill., took home the best of show car trophy with their convertible.

Patsy Darrell of Marceline, Mo., displayed the best of show truck.

The club?s choice trophy was awarded to Roger and Barb Harken of Pella.

New award categories this year included: Mayor?s Choice, won by Rex Jones, Ottumwa; Broadcast Media Choice went to Robert Kessel, Fairfield; Print Media Choice was awarded to Loren and De Knebel, Riverside; Police Chief?s Choice went to Howard Atwell, Marceline; and Sheriff?s Choice was awarded to David Marnholtz, Agency.
