Card shower planned for Johnson

LeNora Johnson of Libertyville will celebrate her 90th birthday Thursday with a card shower.

LeNora McCormick was born June 14, 1922, in Jefferson County. She is a graduate of the Fairfield High School class of 1939, the class that graduated from ?around the square.? Mrs. Johnson is a lifelong resident of Jefferson County. She took Normal Training in high school, and taught at country schools for several years. When her children were all in school, she returned to teaching as a substitute in the Cardinal school district until 1974.

In the last few years, her family has grown. She now has nine great-grandchildren and is looking forward to a 10th later this month.
