Card shower to honor 60th wedding anniversary
Jim and Shirley (Fuller) Clegg of Washington were united in marriage on Feb. 5, 1954, in Burlington, by the Rev. John W. Pool. The Rev. Jim and Shirley (Fuller) Clegg of Washington were united in marriage on Feb. 5, 1954, in Burlington, by the Rev. John W. Pool. The Rev. Pool was a great uncle of Jim's and he also married both Jim's parents, James Harold Clegg and Norma Reaney, and Jim's maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Reaney. This date of Feb. 5, 1954, was also the celebration of the 58th wedding anniversary of Jim's paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Clegg.
Jim and Shirley resided in Chicago, Ill., for over 40 years before retiring to Washington. They are the parents of five children, James David Clegg, John Harold Clegg, Jill Clegg Crohan, Julie Clegg Lancaster, and Jay Robert Clegg. They have 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary there will be a Card Shower and Reception at the United Presbyterian Home Health Center Dining Room at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2014.
