Cardinal boys get by MSAE
The Cardinal boys? basketball team held Maharishi School to three points in the first quarter and got back on the winning track with a 56-40 victory Tuesday in Fairfield.
Cardinal received a game-high 19 points from senior Jonathan Pedersen, who shot 10 of 12 from the charity stripe and also tallied 15 rebounds and four assists for the double-double.

The Cardinal boys? basketball team held Maharishi School to three points in the first quarter and got back on the winning track with a 56-40 victory Tuesday in Fairfield.
Cardinal received a game-high 19 points from senior Jonathan Pedersen, who shot 10 of 12 from the charity stripe and also tallied 15 rebounds and four assists for the double-double.
The win was the third in four games for the Comets, who also had eight points from sophomore Brandon Potts and seven from senior Cody Carter. Kaleb Durflinger, a sophomore, totaled 10 boards and six points. Dakota Showman handed out three assists.
For Maharishi School, nine players scored with Surya Sawhney and Suraj Pullapantula leading the team with nine points each. The Pioneers also had a season-high 11 assists as Sawhney dished out six of them.
Cardinal (7-5, 6-4 SEISC south) next travels to New London Friday. Meanwhile, Maharishi School (2-11, 1-11 SEISC south) aims to get out of an eight-game slide with a short jaunt to Harmony Friday.
