Celebrate Grant Wood Saturday

ELDON ? In celebration of Grant Wood?s 123rd birthday, the American Gothic House Center will have a Grant Wood Birthday Soup Smorgasbord from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the KD Center in Eldon.

Sample several of the many soups to choose from, or have a bowlful of a favorite. The meal comes with a side of freshly baked bread and vegetables. Complete the feast with a slice of birthday cake or a brownie.

Door prizes will be awarded throughout the event, donated by Chommy?s, Just A?little Junk?e in the Trunk, Libertyville Savings Bank and Ostrander Flowers and Greenhouses.

Freewill donations are welcome, and proceeds fund educational programs at the American Gothic House Center.
