Over 30 people from Brighton, Wayland, Olds, Washington and Fairfield attended a Celebrate Recovery meeting Jan. 9, at the Brighton Church of God. The evening included dinner, praise and worship music, optional small group sharing, and a testimony from a woman, who, wounded by her parent's divorce as a young girl, learned to process her hurt through anger, control and bitterness until she found victory over those hurts, habits and hangups through Celebrate Recovery.
Also conducted was the companion program for children ages 5-13 called Celebration Place. Six children attended Celebration Place.
The next weekly Celebrate Recovery/Celebration Place meeting, open to anyone with any hurt, habit, or hangup and their children ages 5-13, will be Thursday, Jan. 16, at the Brighton Church of God. It will begin at 6 p.m. with a free meal. Free child care is available for children under 5.
