Celebrate Recovery

Around 35 people from Brighton, Wayland, Washington and Fairfield attended a Celebrate Recovery meeting Jan. 2 at the Brighton Church of God. The evening included dinner. praise and worship music, optional small group sharing, and a lesson on finding HOPE to recover from our hurts, habits and hangups on how our Higher power (H) through our Openness to change (O) has the Power (P) to effect that change when we Expect (E) it.

Also conducted was the companion program for children ages 5-13 called Celebration Place. Six children attended Celebration Place.

The next weekly Celebrate Recovery/Celebration Place meeting, open to anyone with any hurt, habit, or hangup and their children ages 5-13, will be Thursday, Jan. 9, at the Brighton Church of God. It will begin at 6 p.m., with a free meal. Free child care is available for children under 5.
