Over forty people from Brighton, Wayland, Mt. Pleasant, Washington and Fairfield (including four adult and three child newcomers), attended a Celebrate Recovery meeting March 12 at the Brighton Church of God. The evening included dinner; praise & worship music; optional small group sharing; and a lesson about the importance of openly examining and confessing our faults to ourselves, to God, and another person we trust....to analyze the past honestly, face one's faults and put them behind oneself.
Also conducted was a companion program for children ages 5-13 called Celebration Place. Seven children attended Celebration Place. Seven children were cared for in the nursery.
The next weekly Celebrate Recovery/Celebration Place meeting, open to anyone with any hurt, habit, or hangup will be Thursday, March 19 at the Brighton Church of God. It will begin at 6 PM with a free meal. Safety/health accommodations will be respected to the greatest degree possible. Children are welcome but there will be no supervised childcare or any programming for youth.
