Celebrate Recovery meeting

Twenty-five people from Washington, Brighton, Wayland and Fairfield attended a Celebrate Recovery meeting on Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Brighton Church of God.

The evening included dinner, praise and worship music, optional small group sharing, and a testimonial from Jennene, who, struggling with perfectionism, deception, out of control spending habits, and eating disorders, finally reached a breaking point in her life and in her marriage. Her recovery began with a moment of decision - to surrender, become vulnerable and finally, to understand that value is something that God gives, and can never be taken away.

The next weekly Celebrate Recovery meeting, open to anyone with any hurt, habit, or hangup, will be Thursday, Oct. 31, at the Brighton Church of God beginning at 6 p.m., with a free meal.
