Celebrate Recovery meets in Brighton

Over 30 people from Brighton, Fairfield, Wayland, Olds and Washington, including one newcomer, met at the Brighton Community Church Sept. 17. The evening included praise and worship music and a lesson on seven pointers for moving forward in recovery and avoiding a relapse into hurts, habits or hangups.

There was also an opportunity for gender-specific optional individual sharing, including two women's sharing groups, one for those struggling with chemical dependencies, and one for all other hurts, habits or hangups.

There were age-appropriate activities for six children at the Brighton Church of God Gym. The evening began with a shared meal. The next weekly Celebrate Recovery meeting will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24 at the Brighton Community Church at 6 p.m.
