Approximately 30 people, from Brighton, Wayland, Fairfield, and Washington met for Celebrate Recovery Brighton at the Brighton Community Church March 4. The evening included praise and worship music, and a testimonial from a husband and wife who, experiencing grief, loss and codependency, began a Celebrate Recovery program in their own Australian community whereby they discovered blessing and fulfillment serving others.
There was also an opportunity for gender-specific optional individual sharing including two women's sharing groups, one for those struggling with chemical dependencies, and one for all other hurts, habits or hangups. In addition, six children participated in the Celebration Place ministry at the Brighton Church of God Gym and childcare was provided for one child.
The evening began with a shared meal. Contributions for the next meal can be made by contacting Sharon at smwagner123@gmail.com.
The next weekly Celebrate Recovery meeting will be held on Thursday, March 11 at the Brighton Community Church beginning at 6 PM.
