Celebrate Recovery meets in Brighton

Twenty-six people from Brighton, Fairfield, Wayland, Washington and Olds met at the Brighton Community Church July 9. The evening included praise and worship music, optional individual sharing and a lesson on 'amends,” refocusing our recovery from our internal recovery to relational recovery, beginning the repair work necessary to improve our interpersonal relationships.

The evening began with a meal provided by volunteers and childcare was provided for six children. The group also briefly discussed several group decisions:

(1) having a group viewing at BCC of the online annual CR Summit on July 31 and Aug. 1 (one day after each live event);

(2) the plans for reinstituting Celebration Place (the CR program for children ages 5-13);

(3) relaunching the online meal contribution sign up system; and

(4) hosting the Josh Gilbert Band next month during a regular CR meeting (stay tuned for more details about this!)

The next weekly Celebrate Recovery meeting, open to anyone with any hurt, habit, or hangup, will be Thursday, July 16 at the Brighton Community Church at 6 PM.
