Celebrate Recovery meets in Brighton
N/A
Nov. 23, 2020 12:00 am
Eighteen people, from Brighton, Fairfield, and Washington, followed social distancing guidelines as they kicked off the fourth year of Celebrate Recovery Brighton at the Brighton Community Church on Nov. 19. The evening included praise and worship music, an overview of the Biblical basis for the CR program and a recorded introduction by its cofounder, Pastor Rick Warren.
There was also an opportunity for gender-specific optional individual sharing. Celebration Place (age-appropriate material for children whose families are affected by hurts, habits and hangups) was conducted for four children.
The evening began with a shared meal. Contributions for the next meal can be made by contacting Sharon at smwagner123@gmail.com.
The next weekly Celebrate Recovery meeting will be held on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 26 at the Brighton Community Church beginning at 6 p.m. There will, however, be no children's programming or childcare available.
CR Brighton Ministry Leaders are pleased to continue offering this increasingly important service to area communities while following health protocols.
