Celebrate Recovery online summit viewing at Brighton Community Church
Jul. 19, 2021 10:15 am
The 2021 national Celebrate Recovery Summit will offer an online opportunity again this year. Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a Christ-centered, 12-step recovery program for any and all hurts, habits and hangups. It is a safe place to find community and freedom from issues that can control your life, everything from rejection hurts to addictions to compassion fatigue to struggles with food to veterans’ pains, and lots more.
The virtual Summit takes place online Wednesday, July 21 through Friday, July 23. To attend, register at www.crsummits.com.
Another option is to register at www.crsummits.com and then come to Brighton Community Church (101 S. Mechanic) for any or all of the Summit “watch party” with the Brighton Celebrate Recovery “family group” on Friday, July 23 and Saturday, July 24. Selected portions of the Summit will be broadcast on the large-screen TVs at BCC, some during and some after the live presentations. The schedule will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Bring a copy of your registration confirmation email to be admitted to the group viewing.
There will be a short break for a provided light lunch each day. In addition, feel free to bring your own food supplies to BCC for viewing snacks. There is a kitchen available if food needs to be kept cold or heated.
When you register online, you will receive information to enable you to login and access from the crsummits.com website if you are viewing individually. Conference sessions will remain available to you for two weeks afterward, so if you cannot attend all the live or BCC presentations, you can still watch the Summit according to your own schedule. You will also receive access to a private Facebook group for the Summit.
The Summit is for anyone and everyone, whether or not you are in recovery, and no matter how long you have been in recovery if you are. It’s an opportunity to hear CR’s continuing vision from Cheryl Baker, Celebrate Recovery Co-Founder; Johnny and Jeni Baker, Global Executive Directors of CR; Dr. John Townsend, author and speaker; Mac and Mary Owen, CR National Directors; Sarah Stanton, National Mental Health Champion of CR; Dr. Anita Phillips, Trauma Therapist and Host; and many more.
The regular Thursday night meeting of Celebrate Recovery Brighton will be held at Brighton Community Church on July 22 at 6 p.m., beginning with a free meal, independent of the Summit viewing the next two days.
Any questions about the Summit can be directed to Celebrate Recovery Brighton ministry leader Pastor Rick Zickefoose at 319-548-0073 or rickzick3@hotmail.com.
