Nearly 30 people from Brighton, Wayland and Fairfield (including one newcomer), attended a Celebrate Recovery meeting Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Brighton Church of God.
The evening included dinner; praise and worship music; optional small group sharing; and Christie's story, whose painful past left her feeling hopeless and abandoned, who discovered CR while in prison and who is now a CR leader and the founder of a program which teaches cosmetology skills to incarcerated women.
The next weekly Celebrate Recovery meeting, open to anyone with any hurt, habit, or hangup, will be Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Brighton Church of God, 403 S. Mechanic, beginning at 6 p.m. with a free meal.
