Celebration Recovery

Almost three dozen people from Brighton, Wayland, Washington and Fairfield, including three newcomers, attended a Celebrate Recovery meeting Nov. 14, at the Brighton Church of God.

This meeting marked the ending of the second year of this ecumenical ministry. The evening included dinner; praise and worship music; optional small group sharing; and a lesson covering some common reasons why we can get ‘stuck' in the process of our recovery from hurt, habits and hangups, and what we can do about getting unstuck.

The next weekly Celebrate Recovery meeting, open to anyone with any hurt, habit, or hangup, will be Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Brighton Church of God beginning at 6 p.m., with a free meal. We will be celebrating the second anniversary of this ministry with an overview introduction of the program as we head into our third year.
