CELEBRATIONS: Romingers to celebrate 65th wedding anniversary

Ron and Barb Rominger of Fairfield will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary during an open house from 2-4 p.m. Sept. 22.

The event will be at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) at 1905 S. Main St. in Fairfield.

Ron and Barb live at 1000 Oakwood Drive in Fairfield. The couple requests no gifts, but cards and memories would be welcome.

The party is being organized by the couples daughters and their husbands: Teri and Jerry Bishop (of Davenport), and Deb and Greg Fritz (of Fairfield).

Ron Rominger and Barb McGhghy were united in marriage on Sept. 18, 1954 at the First Christian Church in Bloomfield. Ron worked at The Fairfield Ledger and retired in 1998. Barb worked at the Fairfield Community School District, and retired that same year. They have five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
