Chapter J, P.E.O. met at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 5 in the Morrison Center at Halcyon House. Chris Marshall and Margrette Utech were hostesses for the evening. The tables were decorated with a valentine theme.

Chapter J, P.E.O. met at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 5 in the Morrison Center at Halcyon House. Chris Marshall and Margrette Utech were hostesses for the evening. The tables were decorated with a valentine theme.
President Sara Bartlett conducted the business meeting. Betty Colby, chaplain, read Sripture from Job 37, appropriate for the current weather conditions. Debbie Leith, treasurer, called roll with 13 members and guest Kathy Salazar in attendance. The president announced officers and committee chairs will remain the same for the 2015-16 year.
The president gave a report on committees planning the Iowa State P.E.O. meeting in June . It is hoped a group from Chapter J will attend the convention. Marde McConnell volunteered to attend the planning meeting on April 18, in Ottumwa.
Sara Bartlett issued an invitation to Chapter J members to a tea in her home from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12.
A Book Share and Sale was held with the proceeds going for P.E.O. Projects.
Marde McConnell introduced Kathy Salazar, who shared information on the Neighborhood Enhancement Program. There was much interest and a time for questions and answers.
