Chapter J, P.E.O.

Mary Chmelar hosted Chapter J, P.E. O. in her home at 6:30 p.m. May 1. Carol Flickinger was co-hostess.

Twelve members were in attendance.

Lynn Loula, vice president, conducted the business meeting. The Scripture reading and prayer were led by chaplain Carol Winga.

Correspondence was read and committee reports were given. New member Jeanne Wolf received her P.E.O. Star.

Guest Julie Mangold gave her program on the Washington County Barn Quilt project. Julie explained how the idea and program developed. Many hours were spent selecting the historical barns, the owner's permission and selection of a quilt pattern. Committee members spent many more hours painting and hanging the finished quilt boards. A driving tour of any one or all four barn quilt loops is very enjoyable.

The next meeting will be June 19, at the Grace Hill Moravian Church.
