Iowa J, Wayland, National T.T.T. Society, met Monday evening, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. at the Wayland Community Center. The meeting opened with the singing of "Sword of Gold." President Lori Messer called attention to the article in the July TIDINGS regarding Membership Challenge Renewal.
Georgia Fort read minutes of the July meeting and Ann Wilson gave treasurer?s report. The tip night at Mt. Pleasant restaurant was reported successful. Willa Wilson gave a report on the receipt of a grant from the Riverside Casino to be used for camper expenses.
Courtesy reported sending cards to Amy McLaughlin, Shirley Krabill, and one will be sent to Susan Mast.
Willa Wilson reported for Ways and Means the Sept. 3 tip night in Mt. Pleasant and also a tip night in Washington on Sept. 22. Gifts for this year's former camper graduates are being attempted to be delivered.
President Lori reminded members of the ?Step It Up Challenge? as a reminder was also in the July TIDINGS. Willa brought the purple T.T.T. bags if anyone was interested in purchasing. Treasurer Ann reminded members that annual dues will be due at the October meeting.
Discussion was held regarding a possible ?fun? night. Members should present ideas at the October meeting.
Possible fundraising ideas should also be brought before the group. The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at the Community Center. In the spirit of Halloween and for a bit of fun, members are encouraged to come in costume for the meeting. Election of officers will also be held at the October meeting.
